Abstract

This article presents a new pedagogical approach called “Learning through problems” and shows, by means of a concrete example, how this can be used in teaching terminology with the aim of perfecting students’ competence in this field. It gives priority to students, who are faced with problems that must be solved in groups, under the teacher´s supervision. This approach was popular in the 80’s among teachers in Medical Schools and has been successfully used in many countries in different areas of knowledge.
