Abstract

In this article we will try to study metrics as a key aspect in the poetics of Kavafis. But, as is natural, in the task of trying to unravel the keys of that poetics, we have to make reference to the non-canonical texts, in which some of the characters of his mature poetry begin to be sketched. We have, therefore, to keep in mind the panorama of the poetic corpus left by the poet at his death, in 1933.
