Abstract

This article is intended to investigate the translation of the dieyinci into Spanish. In the first part, we offer a presentation of dieyinci from a linguistic perspective. We also briefly expose the similarities and differences between the dieyinci and the lexical reduplication in Spanish. The second part consists of the presentation of the corpus, which is composed of the anthology Shi Jing and its two complete translations into Spanish. In the last part, we analyze the different translation techniques that are used most frequently in our corpus, and at the same time we propose our considerations on possible ways by which dieyinci are transferred to the Spanish, emphasizing the peculiar form of the dieyinci.
